Penny is a 9-year-old “Double Doodle,” a perfect combo of an Australian mini-Golden Doodle dad and a Labradoodle mom. Because she’s only 25 pounds, people often mistake her for a puppy. And its not just her size - Penny still has puppy vibes at times, especially when she meets another Doodle or a Labrador.
As you can tell from the photo, Penny is definitely obsessed with lambchop toys. She doesn’t destroy them, but gently chews them until they are completely damp. She also uses her lambchops as headrests/pillows.
Penny is very gentle and loving. One of the words she knows is “chill,” which means to stop what she’s doing and relax. She’s happy to “chill” as long as it’s with her people, whether at someone’s feet during a full day of work, lounging on the sofa watching TV, hiking/camping out in the mountains, or riding 10 hours in the car.
Penny's mom decided to give each of her children a photo of Penny for Christmas. We took Penny for a long walk where she was happy to pose in various places. But when we got home, Penny curled up in her bed with her collection of lambs, and I realized she was posing for the best shot of all.
